How do you decide between a Traditional Wedding and an Elopement?

That decision is a wholly personal one. Choosing the type of wedding you have should not be a decision based on family pressures, or perceived expectations; instead it should be a personal decision made by you and your partner.

When making the decision on the type of wedding you should have, it’s best to begin with analyzing your budget. How much can you afford to set aside for your wedding, and what would you actually like to spend? This is usually the biggest determining factor when couples are deciding on the type of wedding to have.

Next you should consider your personal values and how they influence your decision. Do you and your partner value the experience of a large celebration, or a quiet intimate one?

Lastly, consider the number of guests you’d like to have witness your marriage. Do you value the ability to have a large number of guests, only a hand full of those who are closest to you, or none at all?

Starting with those 3 areas will give you a good feel for what type of wedding would best fit your finances, style, and values.

There is no right or wrong decision when it comes to your wedding day!

While you’re in the process of making this decision remember that. It’s YOUR decision. Every couple has different values and dreams and it’s important that you do what’s right for you. You deserve to have the wedding experience you’ve dreamed of and look back on your choice happily for years to come.
