Hey!
-Abby & Alicia
No one should regret their wedding day.
To be honest with you, we didn't elope. But we sure as hell wish we had! We chose to have a large traditional wedding. With lots of guests that we felt obligated to invite, in a bright red barn, with seating charts, catered food, a garter toss and all...
We spent months worrying about who would sit next to whom, and if certain family members would start a ruckus after the drinks started flowing. We felt awkward about the garter toss and silly entrance dances and had no interest in saying our personal vows in front of everyone...

By the end of it, our wedding day felt like one rushed event after another, just checking off boxes until it was over. The entire experience left us feeling exhausted. We were trying to do what we thought a wedding should be instead of focusing on what would have brought us joy and made us feel at peace.
Looking back- it kinda sucked. And we regret it... we regret how we got married.
Although our honeymoon opened our eyes to what kind of wedding we could've had. The day after our wedding we began our honeymoon- a 2 week car-camping road trip from Florida to Colorado and back. With no real plans in between, we spent each day just going wherever our Jeep could take us. It was literally the best thing we ever could've done!
We had more fun, felt more alive and connected in those two weeks than we did at our own wedding. We felt it in an old western saloon in Minturn CO after a day of skiing, and later again at the top of the Palo Duro Canyon in TX, that eloping would have been a better option. In those two weeks we realized we would've loved a wedding that felt like our honeymoon did; adventurous, spontaneous, intimate. Instead of the traditional wedding we had just had.
Of course, if we knew then what we know now, we would have never spent the time and headache planning a large traditional wedding, and would have chosen to elope instead.
It's not just us that we've seen feel that way. Over the past 6 years of documenting traditional weddings for over a hundred couples, we've noticed that many of them feel the same way we did by the end of the day. Exhausted, stressed out, and wishing they had made a different choice.
Since that discussion on our honeymoon it has become our driving force and reason for founding Expedition Elope, that no couple should ever feel the way we did about their wedding day.
Traditional weddings are simply not for everyone. And that's okay!
No matter where our adventures take us, as long as we're together
We are 'home'.

We're sure you know that feeling too.
We’ve driven 22,638 miles (and counting) chasing love stories across dirt roads, mountain passes, winding coastlines, and everything in between.
That’s almost once around the Earth. We've almost traveled to the ends of the earth doing what we love. Isn't that nuts?!
All for couples like you—who want more than a wedding. You want a feeling.
We know what it’s like to crave something different. To want a day that’s real, raw, and deeply you. That’s why we don’t just show up with cameras— but we help craft experiences for you that feel like home, adventure, and freedom all wrapped into one.
We’re here for the wind-in-your-hair vows, the spontaneous dance breaks, the sunrise hikes, and the quiet moments that make you say, “this is exactly how it was meant to be.”
Because your love deserves more than one day.
It deserves a whole journey.
spontaneous road trips in our jeep or overlander
There's so many places to explore, and we have more fun doing it on 4-wheels. We often set a destination and just explore along the way. We've found that being open to change and spontaneous side-quests makes our trips so much more memorable!
Hiking, Exploring, And visiting local treasures
We love finding local hidden-gem trails that lead to awesome views, epic waterfalls, hot springs, and caves. Being in nature and seeing what beauty the Earth has to offer is one of our favorite things to do!
Spending time with our adventure pups
Dogs really are amazing, we have 3! But our German Shepard "Tyr" is the only one to ever travel with us. He loves mountain hikes, swinging bridges, and being on the water. He's definitely our biggest adventure pup.
Then lets hop on a call and get to know each other better!
